J Kumar Infraprojects has secured an INR 11.84 billion EPC contract to develop a 10,000-capacity international exhibition and convention facility in Lucknow. The project, awarded by Uttar Pradesh’s Public Works Department, is scheduled for completion within 24 months and underscores growing infrastructure investment in India’s regional event and tourism ecosystem.

J Kumar Infraprojects has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract valued at approximately INR 11.84 billion to build an international exhibition-cum-convention centre in Lucknow, according to a regulatory disclosure. The Letter of Acceptance, issued by the Public Works Department’s PMGSY Circle in Uttar Pradesh, covers the design, engineering and construction of a facility with a seating capacity of 10,000 at Vrindavan Yojna, Sector-15.

The project is expected to be completed within 24 months and will be executed under an EPC model. The development reflects increasing government focus on expanding convention infrastructure in tier-2 cities to support business tourism, trade exhibitions and large-scale events. Such facilities are often positioned to attract corporate gatherings, industry expos and international conferences, which can stimulate local hospitality, transport and retail sectors. For the construction and infrastructure industry, the contract adds to EPC order pipelines and highlights continued public sector capital expenditure in urban development.

The project may also benefit suppliers across construction materials, engineering services and project management segments. Strategically, the order strengthens J Kumar Infraprojects’ presence in public infrastructure projects and improves revenue visibility over the execution period. Investors typically view EPC wins of this scale as indicators of order book expansion and medium-term earnings support. J Kumar Infraprojects is an India-based infrastructure development company engaged in urban transport, civil construction and large-scale building projects across multiple states.
