JS Solar Holding Berhad's subsidiary, JS Solar Sdn. Bhd., has secured an RM18.05 million contract from GSPARX Sdn. Bhd. for the installation of a solar photovoltaic system and battery energy storage system at AEON Mall Seremban 2 in Malaysia over a six-month period.
JS Solar Holding Berhad, through its wholly-owned subsidiary JS Solar Sdn. Bhd., has accepted a letter of acceptance from GSPARX Sdn. Bhd. for an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning contract valued at RM18.05 million. Under the terms of the agreement, the contractor will design, supply, install, test, and commission a 4,652.5 kWp building-integrated photovoltaic and rooftop solar system alongside a 3,856 kWh battery energy storage system at AEON Mall Seremban 2 in Malaysia. Effective 17 August 2026, the project is scheduled for completion within six months, spanning 19 August 2026 to 19 February 2027, and includes a 365-day defect notification period following completion.
JS Solar Holding Berhad is an ACE Market-listed Malaysian company specializing in renewable energy engineering and solar infrastructure solutions. GSPARX Sdn. Bhd., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of national utility provider Tenaga Nasional Berhad through TNB Retail Sdn. Bhd., focuses on developing and investing in self-consumption renewable energy assets across Malaysia.
The award underscores the expanding integration of commercial solar installations paired with battery storage across large-scale retail assets in Malaysia. By pairing a 4,652.5 kWp building-integrated and rooftop solar array with a 3,856 kWh storage capacity, the project strengthens commercial energy reliability, supports peak shaving strategies, and aligns with national decarbonization frameworks encouraging corporate clean energy adoption.
This contract win significantly fortifies JS Solar's order book and earnings visibility for the financial year ending 31 March 2027. For investors and industry stakeholders, the partnership demonstrates continued capital allocation by TNB's renewable energy arms into integrated solar-plus-storage architecture, reinforcing growth prospects within Southeast Asia's commercial and industrial clean energy ecosystem.
