K2 Infragen Ltd has initiated development of a 2 MW solar project in Haryana through associate firm Animaus Energy Pvt Ltd, in which it recently acquired a 49% stake. The project operates under a power purchase agreement at INR 2.99 per kWh.

K2 Infragen Ltd has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with the development of a 2 MW solar power project in Haryana through its associate company, Animaus Energy Pvt Ltd. The company recently acquired a 49% equity stake in Animaus Energy, positioning itself to participate in long-term renewable generation revenues.

The solar facility is backed by a power purchase agreement with the Haryana Power Purchase Centre at a tariff of INR 2.99 per kilowatt-hour, providing predictable annuity-style cash flows upon commissioning. K2 Infragen will oversee the full project development process, including execution and operational readiness.

The company has indicated its intention to increase its shareholding in Animaus Energy to 100%, subject to regulatory approvals, which would convert the associate into a wholly owned subsidiary. The move aligns with K2 Infragen’s strategy to scale renewable energy assets and strengthen recurring revenue streams.

In addition to solar expansion, the company has outlined plans to diversify into the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) model during FY 2026–27. This approach could broaden its exposure to transmission and infrastructure opportunities within India’s evolving clean energy and grid development landscape.
