Global infrastructure EPC company KEC International has secured new power transmission and distribution contracts valued at Rs 14.76 billion across multiple geographies, according to an official announcement.
The orders span projects in Saudi Arabia, Africa, India and the Americas and include engineering, procurement, construction and equipment supply components.
The contracts include a composite order in Saudi Arabia covering 380 kV transmission lines, substations and extra-high-voltage cabling infrastructure. Additional projects involve 132 kV transmission lines in Africa, while supply contracts for transmission towers will support projects in India and the Americas. The company will also provide hardware components and utility poles for projects in the Americas.
The development highlights continued investment in power transmission networks across emerging and developed markets as governments and utilities expand grid capacity to support economic growth, renewable energy integration and cross-border electricity trade. Infrastructure contractors, equipment suppliers and engineering firms involved in grid development are likely to benefit from sustained demand for transmission upgrades and new power corridors.
