Kelington Group Berhad's subsidiary has secured an additional RM128 million contract for water and wastewater treatment engineering systems at a manufacturing facility in Kuching, lifting its total project order value to RM544 million.

MALAYSIA —Kelington Technologies Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned operating subsidiary of Kelington Group Berhad, has expanded its involvement in an ongoing industrial development initiative located within the Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone in Kuching, Sarawak. The newly finalized engagement entails an investment of approximately RM128 million, focusing on specialized engineering works.

Under the scope of the agreement, the engineering firm will execute the design and construction of advanced ultra-high-purity deionised water generation units alongside comprehensive wastewater treatment plant systems. These infrastructure components are designated to support a high-capacity data storage manufacturing facility currently undergoing expansion. Field execution starts immediately, with project handover scheduled for completion by April 2028.

This latest addition brings the cumulative aggregate value of purchase orders secured by the engineering subsidiary for this specific expansion initiative to approximately RM544 million, up from the previously recorded RM416 million. Kelington Group Berhad is an established provider of engineering services specializing in ultra-high-purity gas and chemical systems, general contracting, and environmental engineering solutions for high-technology manufacturing sectors.

The contract expansion is projected to generate steady revenue streams and enhance financial returns for the corporate group throughout the execution timeline ending in fiscal 2028, without altering share capital distributions or ownership structures. Management notes that operational execution will proceed under standard industry parameters without exposing stakeholders to exceptional commercial liabilities.
