Jereh NER has secured a five-year oil-based drilling cuttings treatment contract from Kuwait Oil Company valued at more than RMB100 million. The project strengthens environmental management capabilities in Kuwait’s upstream sector and highlights growing demand for advanced waste treatment solutions across Middle Eastern oilfields.

Jereh New Energy Regeneration and Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. (Jereh NER) has signed a five-year contract with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to provide treatment services for oil-based drilling cuttings. According to company disclosures, the agreement is valued at more than RMB100 million and was awarded following a competitive tender process involving numerous international oilfield service and environmental management firms.

The contract supports Kuwait’s efforts to improve environmental performance in hydrocarbon operations by addressing the handling and recovery of drilling waste generated during upstream activities. Effective treatment of oil-based drilling cuttings is increasingly important as regional regulators and operators seek to reduce environmental liabilities while maintaining production efficiency.

The project is expected to benefit the oilfield services, environmental technology, waste management and resource recovery sectors. Jereh NER stated that its treatment systems can process large volumes of drilling waste while reducing residual oil content in treated solids to levels below regional environmental thresholds. The technology is also designed to lower energy consumption and support continuous field operations.

Jereh NER is an environmental services and recycling technology company focused on oil and gas environmental solutions, industrial waste treatment, resource recovery and renewable energy recycling applications. The company operates internationally and provides integrated services spanning equipment manufacturing, engineering and project execution.

For businesses and investors, the award signals continued investment by Middle Eastern energy producers in environmental compliance infrastructure and specialized oilfield waste treatment services, creating opportunities for technology providers and contractors supporting more sustainable hydrocarbon development.
