SUGS Lloyd has secured a ₹6.39 billion contract from Konkan Railway Corporation to supply and install power infrastructure including SCADA-DMS systems. The 24-month project strengthens the EPC firm’s order book and reinforces its position in the smart grid and power transmission segments.
According to an official disclosure, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited has awarded a ₹6.39 billion engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to SUGS Lloyd. The scope of work encompasses supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of power infrastructure integrated with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and distribution management system (DMS) technologies.
Execution is scheduled over a 24-month period. Konkan Railway Corporation, a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, operates a key rail route along India’s western coast. The contract signals continued capital expenditure in rail network electrification and system modernization, areas critical for operational safety and capacity enhancement.
For SUGS Lloyd, the order adds to its existing portfolio in power transmission, distribution, and smart grid solutions, bolstering revenue visibility over the medium term. The project’s technology components - SCADA and DMS underscore a broader industry shift toward digitalized grid management. Infrastructure contractors and technology providers in the rail and power sectors can expect similar integrated tenders as railway authorities prioritize reliability and automation. The win also highlights the growing role of EPC firms with specialized capabilities in executing complex, system-level infrastructure mandates.
