The Transportation Infrastructure division of Larsen & Toubro has finalized two contracts with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority to develop the Latifa Bint Hamdan Corridor. Scheduled for completion by late 2028, the projects focus on bridge construction, flyovers, road widening, and integrated cycling networks.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES —The Transportation Infrastructure business vertical of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has formally signed two major civil infrastructure agreements with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The contracts cover extensive roadwork, tunnel construction, and interchange creation along the Latifa Bint Hamdan Corridor, with targeted completion scheduled by the fourth quarter of 2028.

Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational conglomerate engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects across global infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors. The Roads and Transport Authority is the primary government entity responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing transport, transit, and traffic infrastructure throughout the Emirate of Dubai.

The scope of the first contract establishes a direct arterial link connecting Al Khail Road to the extended Latifa Bint Hamdan Street through new bridges and underground underpasses. The second project focuses on upgrading Al Meydan Street, constructing a complex interchange, and adding dedicated non-motorized transport routes that link the existing Al Qudra cycling infrastructure to Jumeirah. Upon final delivery, the expanded 12-kilometer corridor will connect primary transit arteries including Sheikh Zayed Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and Emirates Road, accommodating an estimated 16,000 vehicles per hour and lowering peak travel times from 33 minutes to 15 minutes.

This contract execution highlights the sustained public investment across the Middle East toward modernizing urban mobility and expanding arterial capacity. For engineering and construction firms, Dubai's continuous urban framework developments present consistent EPC contract pipelines. For regional logistics networks, commercial transit operators, and urban real estate developments, the corridor upgrade significantly enhances connectivity, alleviates structural traffic congestion, and supports commercial access across key business districts.
