Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Ltd (BCGCL)-a joint venture between state-run majors Coal India Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., has commissioned L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore to develop a massive coal-to-ammonia-nitrate facility in Odisha. According to official disclosures, the lump sum turnkey contract involves the full lifecycle of the plant, from process licensing and design to final commissioning.
BCGCL is a strategic partnership formed to leverage domestic mineral resources for high-value chemical production.
