L&T Heavy Engineering has secured major international orders spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The contracts include critical refinery and fertilizer equipment for Dangote Group's expansion initiatives in Nigeria and Ethiopia.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a USD 32 billion Indian multinational technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and financial services conglomerate, has expanded its international order book through a series of global contracts awarded to its Heavy Engineering division. Official company disclosures classify the combined contract wins in the "large" category, representing an aggregate commercial value between ₹25 billion and ₹50 billion (approximately USD 300 million to USD 600 million).

The international manufacturing orders span multiple continents, including contracts in Africa, Asia, North America, South America, and Europe. Key contracts were awarded by African industrial conglomerate Dangote Group for mega refinery operations and multi-train fertilizer expansion developments across Nigeria and Ethiopia. Under the scope of supply, the engineering business will manufacture high-precision process plant equipment, including a fluid catalytic cracking reactor regenerator package alongside critical ammonia and urea equipment.

Additional contracts secured across overseas jurisdictions include a repeat order from a Japanese industrial client for heat exchangers and absorbers destined for a Canadian liquefied natural gas project. The division also secured procurement contracts for core process equipment such as fractionator columns, coke drums, and heat exchangers from energy clients operating in Spain, Brazil, and the United States.

The procurement wave highlights resilient global capital expenditure across the downstream energy, petrochemical, and industrial fertilizer sectors. Substantial investments in fertilizer capacity across emerging African markets emphasize a regional strategic shift toward domestic agricultural input security and local industrial processing capabilities.

For international energy developers and industrial plant operators, these contract awards signal robust operational capacity within high-tech heavy manufacturing supply chains. Contracting specialized equipment through established fabrication providers offers project owners risk mitigation against construction delays and technical bottlenecks during major refining and chemical plant expansions.
