INDIA —Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board has officially awarded a major infrastructure contract valued at ₹7.03 billion to LCC Projects Limited. The comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction assignment focuses on upgrading regional water distribution systems across the Bharuch and Vadodara districts.
The scope of work encompasses building an advanced intake well featuring an approach bridge, various diameters of ductile iron and mild steel rising main pipelines, a reinforced cement concrete sump, and a specialized pump house. Furthermore, the project mandates the integration of complete electro-mechanical instrumentation alongside supervisory control and data acquisition systems linked to several headworks and sub-headworks. The agreement also incorporates a ten-year comprehensive operations and maintenance responsibility to ensure long-term operational reliability.
This major development highlights ongoing capital expenditure by regional public utilities aimed at securing reliable industrial and municipal water supplies. By leveraging resources from the Bhadbhut Barrage project, the initiative directly supports manufacturing clusters governed by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation as well as surrounding rural communities experiencing growing demand.
For market participants, the agreement reinforces the revenue visibility of specialized engineering firms operating within municipal infrastructure segments. The decade-long maintenance obligation also provides a steady, recurring operational revenue stream, aligning with broader industry trends toward lifecycle-managed public contracts.
