INDIA —Lumino Industries Limited has secured new orders worth ₹4.96 billion across its core business segments since the listing of its equity shares on September 3, 2026. The awarding authorities include various power transmission and distribution utilities, with the work encompassing manufacturing contracts for conductors and cables alongside an underground distribution network engineering, procurement, and construction order. The scope of work features ₹3.39 billion dedicated to conventional and high-performance conductors, HT cables, LT cables, and railway signalling cables, alongside a ₹1.57 billion Cr engineering, procurement, and construction order for underground distribution network upgrades in India. The completion period spans the normal course of business operational cycles as part of the company's execution roadmap, executed across locations in India. This order intake significantly bolsters the company's aggregate order book to ₹32.15 Billion.
This order influx underscores the accelerating capital expenditure toward power transmission and distribution grid modernisation across the country. Surging electricity demand, large-scale renewable energy integration, and rigorous network reinforcement initiatives are directly driving utility spending on high-performance infrastructure. Securing a healthy mix of product manufacturing and turnkey engineering mandates highlights the critical need for robust supply chain reliability and specialised technical capabilities, especially in high-temperature low-sag conductors that facilitate higher power transfer capacity without expanding the physical right-of-way footprint.
From a broader policy standpoint, these developments align tightly with national initiatives aimed at upgrading distribution infrastructure, reducing aggregate technical and commercial losses, and modernising railway signalling networks. As regulatory frameworks increasingly emphasise grid stability and efficient power evacuation, suppliers possessing integrated manufacturing and execution models are better positioned to navigate stringent quality mandates and delivery schedules mandated by public and private utilities.
For investors and industry stakeholders, the continuous expansion of the order book validates the company's strategic positioning following its public market debut. Maintaining strong in-house manufacturing capabilities for aluminium conductors and power cables provides an operational hedge against raw material volatility and supply bottlenecks, protecting project margins. Sustained traction in high-performance product segments signals positive revenue visibility and reinforces competitive differentiation within the power infrastructure and engineering sector.
