Meghalaya has inaugurated the 59.955-kilometer Jowai-Nartiang-Kdiap-Khanduli roadway. Funded by the New Development Bank (NDB) for approximately ₹594.80 million, the cross-district logistics corridor aims to boost trade in the West Jaintia Hills region.

The Government of India has formalized the operational rollout of a strategic provincial highway in northeastern India to enhance regional connectivity. According to official disclosures, the 59.955-kilometer Jowai-Nartiang-Kdiap-Khanduli road network in Meghalaya was officially inaugurated following its completion. The development was backed by capital from the New Development Bank, an international multilateral financial institution established by the BRICS states to fund sustainable infrastructure programs in emerging markets, at an estimated cost of ₹594.80 million. The finished transportation corridor connects multiple rural centers directly within the West Jaintia Hills district.

This logistics advancement directly impacts the regional transportation engineering, overland freight, civil construction, and cross-border agriculture logistics industries.
