MIC Electronics has completed the acquisition of a 59 percent controlling stake in Singapore-based deep-tech firm Neo Semi SG via a share-swap arrangement, boosting its capabilities in semiconductor IP, IoT smart grids, and AI energy logistics.

INDIA; SINGAPORE Indian LED display and communication solutions provider MIC Electronics has finalized the acquisition of a 59 percent controlling equity interest in Singapore-based deep-tech platform Neo Semi SG. The transaction was executed through a share-swap arrangement following regulatory approvals from major Indian stock exchanges, resulting in the allotment of 56.8 million equity shares to the target company's selling shareholders.

MIC Electronics designs and manufactures LED display systems, telecom hardware, and intelligent communication infrastructure. Through this majority stake acquisition, the company integrates Neo Semi SG's specialized portfolio in semiconductor intellectual property, artificial intelligence-driven energy logistics, IoT smart-grid architectures, and circular electronics. Neo Semi SG operates regional subsidiaries across India and the United Arab Emirates, positioning the combined entity to expand its technical footprint across South Asia and the Middle East.

This strategic transaction highlights an accelerating trend of cross-border consolidation among technology hardware manufacturers seeking to secure proprietary intellectual property. By combining core manufacturing capabilities with specialized chip design and smart grid technologies, technology vendors are better equipped to address critical supply chain vulnerabilities and capture market demand across next-generation energy management, industrial automation, and advanced electronics sectors.

For enterprise stakeholders and investors, the transaction enhances MIC Electronics' capabilities in high-growth technology verticals beyond traditional display infrastructure. The integration of advanced semiconductor IP and AI-powered logistics solutions allows the company to capture higher-margin contracts in smart grid modernization, energy management, and sustainable electronic architecture across emerging markets.
