MN Holdings Berhad's joint venture with Pembinaan Tajri Sdn. Bhd. has been awarded an underground cable installation contract by Tenaga Nasional Berhad in Penang, Malaysia, strengthening local power grid distribution and regional industrial energy supply.

MN Utilities Engineering Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MN Holdings Berhad, in partnership with Pembinaan Tajri Sdn. Bhd. via an unincorporated joint venture, has received a contract award from national power utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad to execute a major power transmission project in Penang, Malaysia.

Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture will install new Double Circuit 132 kilovolt ("kV") Underground Cable [2x180 Mega Volt-Amperes ("MVA")] spanning from Transmission Main Intake ("PMU") Tasek Gelugor to PMU Bertam.

This infrastructural upgrade is vital for enhancing grid reliability and expanding transmission capacity across northern Peninsular Malaysia. As energy demand grows due to industrial expansion and urban development, high-voltage underground cabling ensures resilient electricity distribution while minimizing visual and environmental overhead impacts.

The project primarily intersects the power utilities, civil engineering, and infrastructure construction sectors in Malaysia. Key stakeholders including regional industrial facilities, local power consumers, and municipal utility planners stand to benefit from improved power stability and increased transmission capacity.

For investors and corporate observers, this contract win underscores MN Holdings Berhad's market position in utility engineering and infrastructure projects. The partnership highlights the continued capital expenditure by state utility providers to modernize core energy distribution networks, offering steady order-book visibility for specialized infrastructure contractors.

MN Holdings Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company specializing in infrastructure utilities engineering, power transmission, and underground utilities services. Tenaga Nasional Berhad is Malaysia's primary electric utility provider, responsible for electricity generation, transmission, and distribution across the nation.
