MALAYSIA —MN Utilities Engineering Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MN Holdings Berhad, in partnership with Pembinaan Tajri Sdn. Bhd. via an unincorporated joint venture, has received a contract award from national power utility Tenaga Nasional Berhad to execute a major power transmission project in Penang, Malaysia.
Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture will install new Double Circuit 132 kilovolt ("kV") Underground Cable [2x180 Mega Volt-Amperes ("MVA")] spanning from Transmission Main Intake ("PMU") Tasek Gelugor to PMU Bertam.
This infrastructural upgrade is vital for enhancing grid reliability and expanding transmission capacity across northern Peninsular Malaysia.
