Mobius Renewables closes acquisition of Air Liquide biogas assets across four countries

Mobius Renewables has completed the acquisition of Air Liquide's biogas production activities in the US, France, Norway, and Sweden. The portfolio includes six landfill gas-to-RNG sites in the US, five farm waste sites in France, and a 51% interest in Redo Biosolutions, generating over 5.5 million MMBtu of RNG annually.

Mobius Renewables has announced the closing of its acquisition of Air Liquide's biogas production activities in the United States, France, Norway, and Sweden, according to an official announcement. The acquired portfolio includes six operating landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas sites in the US, five operating farm waste sites in France, and a 51% interest in Redo Biosolutions with production and distribution assets across Norway and Sweden. With this transaction, the establishment of Mobius Renewables is complete, with GreenGasUSA and the acquired portfolio operating under one brand while retaining the Redo Biosolutions brand.

Mobius Renewables is a global, vertically integrated low carbon fuels platform established in December 2025 by funds managed by IFM Investors, headquartered in Houston, Texas with additional offices in the US, France, Norway, and Sweden. The company generates and distributes over 5.5 million MMBtu of RNG annually from landfill gas and anaerobic digestion.

This development matters for the renewable natural gas sector, where vertical integration and scale are critical for competing with fossil natural gas. The acquisition positions Mobius as a leading global RNG producer with operations across North America and Europe.
