INDIA; KOREA (SOUTH) —NDR Auto Components has finalized an agreement with South Korea's DYA to create a joint manufacturing venture focused on automotive seating solutions within the Indian market. The partnership involves a total projected investment of up to 629.6 million INR, positioning the newly formed entity to design, fabricate, and distribute complete seating assemblies and integrated systems locally.
Under the terms of the corporate arrangement, NDR Auto Components will maintain a controlling equity stake of 51.0 percent, while DYA will hold the remaining 49 percent. The operational performance and financial figures of the joint venture will be consolidated directly into NDR Auto Components' corporate balance sheets. Corporate leadership intends for the collaboration to leverage domestic component fabrication strengths alongside advanced system design capabilities.
This strategic move allows the participating enterprises to target major vehicle manufacturers operating domestically, specifically expanding customer relationships within the passenger and utility vehicle segments. For NDR Auto Components, the venture facilitates an upward transition from producing individual seat frames and trim components to delivering fully integrated seating systems. Concurrently, it grants the foreign partner direct entry into the expanding domestic mobility sector.
Headquartered in Gurugram, NDR Auto Components Limited operates as a flagship manufacturing enterprise specializing in automotive seating solutions and body-in-white components for diverse vehicle categories. DYA Co., Ltd., based in Gwangju, is a specialized Korean automotive seat manufacturer supplying complete seating architectures for major international mobility groups. Both entities maintain established industry footprints across their respective domestic markets.
Market observers note that the initiative reflects a broader trend of component localization driven by stringent supply chain requirements and rising vehicle sophistication. By aligning regional manufacturing infrastructure with specialized tier-one design expertise, the partnership addresses growing automaker demand for localized sourcing of critical interior assemblies, subject to final regulatory clearances and definitive contract executions.
