SAUDI ARABIA —Nofoth Food Products Company has completed the acquisition of a 65% interest in Plenty Food Company, marking the closing of the transaction announced earlier in 2026. The regulatory procedures associated with the deal were completed on 05-10-2026, after which the shares representing the acquired stake were transferred and registered in Nofoth Food Products Company’s name in accordance with the Share Purchase Agreement.
The transaction follows the General Authority for Competition’s no-objection to the economic concentration associated with the acquisition, which was disclosed on 02-09-2026. Nofoth had previously announced the signing of the Share Purchase Agreement to acquire the controlling interest in Plenty Food Company. The consideration for the transaction remains unchanged from the amount previously disclosed, while no delay-related impact on Nofoth’s financial results has been reported.
The completion gives Nofoth a majority ownership position in Plenty Food Company and increases its exposure to the Saudi food sector. For the businesses involved, the change in ownership places Plenty Food Company under Nofoth’s controlling interest while preserving the transaction framework established through the purchase agreement and regulatory review.
Nofoth Food Products Company is a Saudi food-sector company whose corporate activities include investments and operations related to food products. Plenty Food Company operates within the food industry, making the transaction relevant to companies involved in food production, distribution, investment and consolidation across Saudi Arabia.
For investors and industry participants, the completed transfer provides a clearer indication that the transaction has moved from agreement and regulatory clearance to effective ownership. The deal also illustrates the role of competition review in Saudi corporate transactions involving changes in control, while Nofoth’s majority position could influence the future strategic direction, capital allocation and operating development of Plenty Food Company.
