Nordex expands Türkiye footprint with 110 MW wind turbine contract from Eksim Enerji

Nordex Group has secured a 110 MW turbine supply and service agreement with Eksim Enerji for the Balıkesir-3 wind project in western Türkiye. The deal strengthens Nordex’s position in the Turkish renewable energy market while supporting local manufacturing requirements and long-term clean energy capacity expansion.

Nordex Group will supply and install 16 N175/6.X wind turbines for Eksim Enerji’s Balıkesir-3 wind farm in Türkiye, according to an official company statement. The project, located in Balıkesir province’s Sındırgı district, will add 110 MW of generation capacity and includes a 10-year premium maintenance agreement covering turbine performance and operational availability.

The turbines will operate on 119-meter tubular steel towers and are configured for cold-climate conditions, reflecting the elevated terrain and wind profile of the project site. The agreement extends a commercial relationship between Nordex and Eksim Enerji that has been in place since 2010.

The development is significant for Türkiye’s renewable energy sector as the country continues to diversify electricity generation and reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels. Compliance with YEKA-2025 local content standards is expected to support domestic industrial activity and regional supply chains tied to wind energy manufacturing.

Nordex, a Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer, has maintained a leading position in Türkiye’s wind market since 2017.
