Nordex has received an order to supply 11 N175/6.X turbines for the Jasikovo wind farm in eastern Serbia, including a 30-year service contract. The 77 MW project, equipped with anti-icing systems, is expected to generate over 270 GWh annually and reinforces Nordex's 425 MW footprint in the Serbian market.

The Nordex Group has secured an order for the supply and installation of 11 N175/6.X wind turbines for the Jasikovo wind farm in eastern Serbia, according to an official announcement. The turbines, mounted on 119-metre tubular steel towers, will operate at up to 7 MW each, with a combined capacity of 77 MW. The contract includes a 30-year Premium Service agreement with an optional five-year extension. Nordex is a German wind turbine manufacturer with global operations in renewable energy equipment and project development.

The Jasikovo project is located in the Serbian Carpathian Mountains, approximately 175 kilometres east-southeast of Belgrade, where average wind speeds reach approximately 8 metres per second at hub height. All turbines will be equipped with Nordex's Anti-Icing System to maintain availability under the site's climatic conditions. Installation is scheduled to begin in April 2027, with first power expected in July 2027. Once operational, the wind farm is projected to deliver net annual energy production exceeding 270 GWh. This development matters for the South-Eastern European renewable energy sector, where countries are accelerating wind capacity additions to meet decarbonisation targets and enhance energy security. Serbia's wind resource potential in mountainous regions requires specialised equipment such as anti-icing systems, demonstrating the technical requirements for high-altitude installations.

For the wind energy industry, the order reflects continued demand for high-capacity turbines in emerging European markets. With the Jasikovo project, Nordex has now sold 425 MW of turbines in Serbia, reinforcing its competitive position. Stakeholders including project developers, grid operators, and equipment suppliers stand to benefit from the ongoing expansion of Serbia's renewable energy infrastructure.
