SWEDEN —Nordisk Bergteknik AB has secured a major subcontract valued at approximately SEK 185 million from main contractor NYAB for ground preparation and foundation works on the Norrbotniabanan railway expansion between Bureå and Södra Innervik. The execution contract operates under the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, as the ultimate project developer and end customer. Commencing in the third quarter of 2026, the assignment spans through completion in 2028 and encompasses Nordisk Bergteknik’s complete service value chain, including rock blasting, crushing, excavation, material transport, and final embankment construction.
This contract highlights the essential role of specialized foundation and rock handling specialists in executing complex regional infrastructure.
