Nscale expands Microsoft partnership to deploy 30,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs at Norway data center

Nscale has reached a renewed agreement with Microsoft to significantly increase AI computing capacity at its Narvik campus. The project involves the deployment of over 30,000 next-generation NVIDIA Rubin GPUs by 2027, positioning the 230 MW site as a primary hub for European cloud infrastructure.

Nscale, a specialized provider of high-performance cloud and AI infrastructure, has finalized an expanded agreement with Microsoft to bolster technical capacity in Northern Europe. Under this arrangement, the company will integrate more than 30,000 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs into its Narvik facility in Norway, with operations expected to scale by 2027.

This 230 MW project represents a significant industrial undertaking for the region and will be managed exclusively by Nscale following the integration of its previous joint venture with Aker. This expansion is critical for the global AI ecosystem as it secures long-term access to advanced hardware in a region favored for its sustainable energy profile.
