Omaxe expands into hospitality with INR 62 billion investment plan for 19 hotels

Omaxe has launched a dedicated hospitality business and committed INR 62 billion to develop 19 hotels across five Indian states over the next five years. The expansion strengthens the company's mixed-use development strategy while targeting demand from urban growth, religious tourism, and transport-linked destinations.

Omaxe has announced the creation of a dedicated hospitality business vertical alongside plans to invest approximately INR 62 billion over the next four to five years to develop 19 hotels across five states, according to official disclosures. The projects will span nearly 5 million square feet and will be operated by established hospitality brands under management partnerships.

The development programme is centred on high-growth cities, pilgrimage hubs and major transit corridors, with hospitality assets integrated into the company's existing townships, commercial developments and urban infrastructure projects. Uttar Pradesh will account for 12 of the planned hotels, including projects in Ayodhya, Vrindavan and Lucknow. The portfolio also includes a 158-room Gateway Hotel by IHCL within The Omaxe State development in Dwarka, New Delhi.

The investment reflects growing demand for integrated real estate projects that combine residential, commercial and hospitality components, supporting tourism, business travel and regional economic activity. The expansion is expected to create opportunities for hotel operators, construction companies and service providers while strengthening hospitality infrastructure in emerging destinations.
