Swedish satellite communications provider Ovzon has secured a 12-month contract valued at USD 9.10 million from a new U.S. government customer. The agreement delivers integrated SATCOM services via the Ovzon 3 satellite, alongside mobile terminals, to support defense and critical mission requirements.

SWEDEN; UNITED STATES OF AMERICA —Ovzon has secured a 12-month contract valued at USD 9.10 million from a new U.S. government customer to provide comprehensive SATCOM solutions. The agreement encompasses high-performance satellite communications services delivered through the Ovzon 3 satellite and third-party satellite capacity, alongside mobile satellite terminals. Under the contract terms, USD 8.50 million is allocated to core SATCOM platform services, while USD 600k covers the delivery of Ovzon mobile satellite terminals. Operational deployment under the agreement starts immediately.

Ovzon is a Swedish provider of SATCOM-as-a-Service solutions, delivering integrated mobile satellite communication services that combine high-throughput satellite networks, proprietary mobile terminals, and dedicated operational support for defense, national security, and public safety entities. The customer is a U.S. federal government agency operating in defense and security environments requiring mission-critical communications capabilities.

This contract expands Ovzon's footprint within U.S. federal agencies and serves as a major commercial validation for its flagship Ovzon 3 satellite and proprietary Orion Service. The Ovzon 3 platform features an advanced On-Board Processor integrated with lightweight, resilient mobile terminals designed to maintain high-bandwidth connectivity in contested environments. Initially, Ovzon will recognize USD 3.40 million as order intake in the third quarter of 2026, with the remaining USD 5.70 million to be recognized as formal funding process finalizations conclude.

The agreement underscores an accelerating shift within government and defense sectors toward integrated, end-to-end SATCOM services over fragmented bandwidth procurement. Defense and security agencies are increasingly adopting managed satellite communication architectures to ensure mobility, operational control, and cyber resiliency across strategic mission deployments.

From a market perspective, securing an additional U.S. federal customer enhances Ovzon’s long-term recurring revenue potential and strengthens its positioning against established defense SATCOM vendors. The deployment highlights strong market demand for dedicated geostationary capacity, validating Ovzon's strategic investments in proprietary satellite infrastructure and defense-grade mobile terminals.
