MALAYSIA —Pekat Group Berhad's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pekat E & LP Sdn. Bhd., has executed three separate subcontract agreements worth a cumulative RM57.18 million with a private Malaysian engineering and construction company. Under the terms of the contracts, Pekat E & LP Sdn. Bhd. will undertake the comprehensive design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of earthing and lightning protection systems, along with associated civil works and substation infrastructure, for an ongoing development in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The three subcontracts were finalized sequentially between July 6, 2026, and September 7, 2026. The initial subcontract, valued at RM27.21 million, covers full earthing and lightning protection system supply and installation from July 2026 through September 2027. The second contract, signed on August 3, 2026, involves specialized earthing and lightning protection works for a dedicated substation valued at RM4.64 million, running from March 2026 to February 2027. The third agreement, executed on September 7, 2026, carries a value of RM25.33 million and encompasses extensive earthing and lightning protection services, including earth mat installations, cabling, copper tape, and civil engineering works scheduled from January 2026 through February 2027.
