International Container Terminal Services, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase 100% of African port operator TLG Acquisition Holdings, expanding its logistical and cargo handling footprint across key trade corridors in Mozambique, Namibia, and South Africa.

PHILIPPINES Manila-listed terminal operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has executed a share purchase contract to acquire total ownership of African port and logistics provider TLG Acquisition Holdings (RF) Proprietary Limited. The transaction involves buying out the entire equity of TLG from private equity infrastructure investors African Infrastructure Investment Managers and Mokobela Shataki Proprietary Limited. Closing remains contingent on customary regulatory clearances across the relevant jurisdictions.

This strategic move establishes ICTSI as a primary gateway operator across southern Africa's supply chains, consolidating bulk commodity and agricultural product handling capabilities in Mozambique, Namibia, and South Africa. Headquartered in Manila, ICTSI is a global port management entity operating independent container terminals across multiple continents, specializing in port infrastructure development and maritime logistics efficiency.

By acquiring TLG's established regional network, ICTSI significantly increases its footprint in high-growth African trade routes. The addition of integrated cargo assets provides operational synergies for regional trade flows, enabling multinational shippers to streamline bulk material transport and agricultural exports out of southern African hinterlands.

For international investors and logistics stakeholders, the transaction underlines accelerating corporate consolidation across strategic maritime infrastructure assets in emerging markets. Enhancing port infrastructure control positioned along vital trade lanes will likely bolster supply chain resilience and lower transit bottlenecks for regional commodities trading.
