PLDT Inc. has finalized the takeover of Radius Telecoms, Inc. by acquiring the remaining 65.1% equity interest. The transaction consolidates PLDT's control over the telecommunications provider, expanding its network coverage and corporate fiber footprint across key commercial regions.

PHILIPPINES —Philippine telecommunications operator PLDT Inc. has formally completed its acquisition of the remaining 65.1% equity stake in Radius Telecoms, Inc. Following the execution of the transaction, Radius has become a wholly owned subsidiary of PLDT. PLDT Inc. is a major integrated telecommunications and digital services provider headquartered in the Philippines, delivering mobile, fixed-line, and broadband infrastructure services across consumer and enterprise sectors.

This full consolidation grants PLDT total control over Radius's specialized fiber-optic assets and enterprise connectivity solutions. Integrating Radius fully into PLDT's corporate structure eliminates redundant operations and strengthens the parent company's market position against regional telecom rivals. The expanded infrastructure capacity allows the unified entity to capture higher market share among commercial clients demanding high-speed connectivity and dedicated data services.

The integration directly impacts the telecommunications and IT infrastructure markets in Southeast Asia. Enterprise clients, internet service providers, and data center operators relying on metropolitan fiber networks stand to experience enhanced service coverage and consolidated service offerings under PLDT's unified network architecture.

From an enterprise strategy perspective, full ownership enables PLDT to optimize capital expenditure allocation across its network buildout projects. Investors and industry stakeholders view the buyout as a decisive step in streamlining corporate assets, maximizing operational synergies, and protecting enterprise revenue margins amid growing demand for enterprise digital infrastructure.
