Plus Xnergy Services, a subsidiary of BM GreenTech Berhad, has been awarded RM71.76 million in EPCC and supply contracts to develop a 36 MWp solar PV facility integrated with a 45 MWh battery system at KLIA Aeropolis. The project is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2027.

Plus Xnergy Services Sdn Bhd, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of BM GreenTech Berhad, has entered into engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) and supply agreements valued at RM71.76 million for a large-scale renewable energy installation at KLIA Aeropolis. The contracts were awarded by Cenergi Aeropolis Renewable Energy Sdn Bhd following a competitive tender process, according to official disclosures.

The project involves the development of a 36 megawatt-peak ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plant integrated with a 45 megawatt-hour Battery Energy Storage System. Designed under Malaysia’s self-consumption (SELCO) framework, the facility is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027 and will supply electricity to support Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s operational requirements.

By combining solar generation with energy storage, the installation aims to stabilise output and manage intermittency, a key constraint in large renewable deployments. Once commissioned, the facility is projected to produce approximately 46 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually over a 25-year lifespan, while reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 35,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent each year.

BM GreenTech Berhad is a Malaysia-based renewable energy and engineering solutions group focused on clean energy infrastructure. The project underscores increasing adoption of integrated solar and storage systems in Malaysia’s aviation and industrial sectors, reflecting broader regional momentum toward decarbonisation and grid resilience. For energy developers, equipment suppliers and infrastructure investors, the initiative signals growing demand for hybrid renewable assets capable of delivering operational reliability at scale.
