Prisma Properties has signed a ten-year commercial lease with German grocery chain Lidl to develop a new supermarket in Torsby, Sweden. The project expands the developer's highway-adjacent retail portfolio and incorporates infrastructure for electric vehicle charging.

A major Nordic real estate firm has finalized a decade-long commercial agreement with discount supermarket operator Lidl to anchor a new retail hub in Torsby, Sweden. Groundbreaking for the project is slated for late 2026, with construction targeted for completion by the final quarter of 2027. Development remains subject to standard municipal approvals and land transaction procedures.

The planned venue will span over 1,900 square meters of lettable space positioned near the junction of the E45 and E16 transport corridors. The site complements an adjacent commercial complex managed by the same developer, which currently accommodates regional retail tenants across home goods, hardware, and sporting equipment sectors. To align with regional sustainability trends, the site design incorporates a minimum of 15 high-speed electric vehicle charging stations.

Prisma Properties AB is a Swedish real estate investment and development company headquartered in Stockholm. Listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm Mid Cap index, the organization specializes in high-density retail assets, focusing on grocery hubs, discount stores, and quick-service restaurant properties across Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.

This commercial agreement highlights sustained institutional demand for modern, suburban retail infrastructure situated along critical transport arteries. By pairing essential consumer services like grocery retail with electric vehicle charging infrastructure, commercial real estate developers are increasingly optimizing properties for transit-oriented consumers. The expansion enhances local commercial capacity in Värmland County while securing stable, long-term rental yields through established international anchor tenants.
