INDIA; UNITED STATES OF AMERICA —PwC US and PwC India have entered into an agreement to merge their consulting capabilities into a single integrated operational framework. Under the transaction, PwC India's consulting division and the India-based operations of PwC US Advisory will unite under one structure. The newly created entity will be jointly owned and governed by both firms, with PwC India Chairperson Sanjeev Krishan assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer. Subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, the transition is scheduled to complete in the first half of calendar year 2027.
PwC is a multinational professional services network offering audit, assurance, tax, legal, and advisory solutions across 136 countries. PwC US operates as the American member firm providing business transformation, technology integration, and risk services to enterprise clients. PwC India represents the network's domestic practice, delivering strategy, technology consulting, and financial advisory services across major economic centers in India.
This restructuring shifts the traditional offshore service delivery model toward an integrated cross-border advisory strategy. By combining US client management with India's consulting talent pool, the venture aims to optimize service execution across technology implementation, enterprise strategy, engineering, and artificial intelligence solutions. The unified structure addresses rising corporate demand for cohesive global consulting services rather than fragmented regional delivery teams.
The strategic combination directly impacts multinational enterprises, particularly US-headquartered corporations operating or establishing Global Capability Centers in India. The consolidated platform is designed to provide seamless governance across international trade corridors, allowing global firms to streamline their technology architecture and operational scaling initiatives through a single advisory channel.
For enterprise software and consulting markets, the venture highlights a growing trend toward geographic consolidation among professional services firms. By centralizing advisory delivery across major economic hubs, organizations can enhance resource deployment, accelerate digital transformation mandates, and better adapt to the operational shifts driven by enterprise automation technologies.
