INDIA —QMS Medical Allied Services Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire a 100% equity stake in Pune-based BeamOptics Scientific Private Limited. The transaction strengthens the product-focused operational roadmap of QMS as it scales up its presence in high-value medical diagnostics and specialized analytical instruments. The deal will be formally finalized subject to customary terms and approvals, including regulatory clearance from the National Company Law Tribunal regarding a concurrent corporate restructuring arrangement.
QMS Medical Allied Services Limited is an India-based healthcare solutions provider delivering diagnostic products, patient engagement programs, and medical equipment distribution across domestic healthcare networks. Founded in 2023, BeamOptics Scientific Private Limited is an ISO 13485/2016-certified deep-tech firm specializing in point-of-care health screening and optical spectroscopy instruments across healthcare, dairy, food safety, and pharmaceutical screening applications.
This acquisition marks a pivotal shift in corporate structure following QMS's strategic separation of its service operations. The company previously demerged its services business into its wholly-owned unit, Saarathi Healthcare, and consolidated its Patient Services Program portfolio with private equity-backed Health Care at Home. By transferring its service assets into Saarathi for a separate listing, QMS is repositioning its main corporate entity strictly as a medical technology and diagnostic products enterprise.
The integration of BeamOptics brings proprietary intellectual property and advanced deep-tech platforms to QMS, including Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy, multispectral imaging, acoustic sensing, and artificial intelligence diagnostics. Enhanced by a recent five-year exclusive Indian distribution deal with German diagnostic equipment manufacturer HEINE Optotechnik, the acquisition positions QMS to capitalize on growing domestic demand for localized diagnostic device manufacturing, quality-control analytics, and public health screening infrastructure.
