Florida-based defense contractor Redwire has secured a $21.5 million follow-on order to supply the U.S. Marine Corps with upgraded and standard Stalker Block 30 uncrewed aerial systems, bolstering tactical reconnaissance capabilities.

The U.S. Marine Corps is accelerating the modernization of its tactical reconnaissance fleet through a newly finalized $21.5 million procurement contract. Announced in July 2026, the deal represents a follow-on order issued to defense technology firm Redwire Corporation by the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Robotic Autonomous Systems (PAE RAS) Aircraft Program Management Office. The transaction was facilitated during the second quarter of 2026, building upon an initial $20 million acquisition phase completed earlier in the year.

This latest transaction centers on transitioning the military branch's existing aerial fleet toward advanced navigation configurations of the Stalker Block 30 uncrewed aircraft system (UAS). Under the terms of the agreement, the defense contractor will deliver a second Advanced Stalker Block 30 system alongside several standard platforms. Each comprehensive system shipment includes the physical air vehicles, high-resolution imaging payloads for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), multi-range ground control stations, and essential support packages. To streamline delivery, the procurement was processed through the Defense Logistics Agency’s Tailored Logistics Support contract program, with Atlantic Diving Supply acting as the prime contractor.

The integration of advanced navigation capabilities directly addresses the critical need for resilient, GPS-independent operational readiness on modern, highly contested battlefields. By upgrading hundreds of active Stalker platforms currently deployed in the field, the Marine Corps aims to significantly elevate its situational awareness, target tracking capabilities, and operational adaptability. This shift highlights a broader defense sector trend where military stakeholders prioritize localized, low-altitude intelligence gathering that can withstand sophisticated electronic warfare and signal-jamming attempts.

For defense contractors and aerospace investors, Redwire’s steady accumulation of follow-on orders underscores the commercial viability of modular, iterative upgrades over entirely new platform designs. Redwire Corporation is a Jacksonville, Florida-based aerospace and national security technology developer specializing in space infrastructure, satellite payloads, and tactical uncrewed systems. By securing consecutive multi-million dollar orders within the same fiscal year, the company demonstrates how established defense programs can generate highly predictable, recurring revenue streams while reinforcing long-term federal procurement partnerships.
