BHUTAN; INDIA —Indian infrastructure engineering firm KEC International has broadened its international presence and domestic clean energy operations after securing fresh EPC contracts worth INR 10.3 billion across multiple business verticals. The latest contract additions have pushed the enterprise's total year-to-date order intake past INR 86 billion, underscoring resilient capital expenditure across power infrastructure and clean energy segments.
The largest share of the new awards strengthens the company's Transmission & Distribution footprint through high-voltage utility projects in South Asia and the Middle East, including a 400 kV transmission line project marking its re-entry into Bhutan, alongside supplemental 380 kV grid infrastructure work in Saudi Arabia. Simultaneously, the group expanded its equipment supply business across North and South America with new supply agreements for utility poles, towers, and hardware, while its industrial manufacturing arm secured domestic and export orders for cables and conductors.
In the renewable energy sector, the organization secured a turn-key contract to construct a 300+ MW wind farm in Southern India for a private renewable developer. This expansion in wind power engineering complements growing regional demand for utility-scale clean energy projects as commercial developers accelerate capacity additions to meet decarbonization targets and power grid reliability needs.
