According to official disclosures, Safran Aircraft Engines, a global commercial aircraft engine manufacturer, and SIA Engineering Company, a Singapore-based aerospace maintenance provider, formalized a joint venture to develop a LEAP engine maintenance facility in Singapore. The French manufacturer will hold a 51 percent stake, with the Singaporean firm retaining 49 percent.
This development addresses the accelerating maintenance requirements of the expanding global LEAP fleet. Consolidating existing operations into a modernized hub will significantly increase shop visit capacity and broaden services for LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B powerplants.
