MALAYSIA —Samaiden Group Berhad, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Samaiden Sdn. Bhd., has officially secured dual agreements consisting of a Works Contract and a Contract for Supply of Solar Components from main contractor Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn. Bhd. Under the terms of the project, Samaiden will undertake the comprehensive engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning works, alongside the supply and delivery of essential solar equipment for a 99.99 MWac Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic plant in Malaysia. While the specific financial value remains undisclosed owing to stringent confidentiality obligations within the contract terms, the engagement stems directly from the Large Scale Solar 5+ initiative approved by Suruhanjaya Tenaga. Operational timelines and construction will formally commence following the issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
Samaiden Group Berhad is a Malaysia-based clean energy solution provider principally involved in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for solar photovoltaic systems and renewable energy power plants. Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn. Bhd. operates as a leading private construction entity in Malaysia, serving as the primary infrastructure contractor across major industrial and energy utility developments.
The execution of these contracts represents a key milestone for Malaysia’s national decarbonization drive under the Large Scale Solar program overseen by the Energy Commission. By bringing the 99.99 MWac capacity project closer to execution, the deal highlights strong momentum in expanding utility-scale renewable power infrastructure across the region. Furthermore, the collaboration underscores a broader strategic effort by utility and construction leaders to enhance supply chain certainty and accelerate technical deployment for complex clean energy facilities.
For renewable energy investors and business stakeholders, Samaiden’s selection as EPC and procurement partner reinforces the growing commercial reliance on specialized clean-tech engineering firms. The contract win expands Samaiden’s project order book, providing visible revenue stream visibility while solidifying its competitive posture within the Malaysian utility-scale solar market. The arrangement also establishes a scalable operational benchmark for joint EPC and equipment supply frameworks in future large-scale photovoltaic infrastructure developments.
