DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO —Sandvik has secured a major underground mining equipment order valued at SEK 275 million from Kamoa Copper S.A. to supply high-performance machinery for the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Under the terms of the contract, Sandvik will deliver a fleet of underground trucks and loaders, including two loaders integrated with its proprietary AutoMine autonomous technology system. The order will be officially booked in Sandvik’s financial results for the third quarter of 2026, with product deliveries scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and extend through the third quarter of 2027.
This substantial fleet expansion reflects the ongoing development and operational scale-up of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex, a long-life, high-grade underground mining operation recognized as one of the world's premier copper developments.
