Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions and Sangam India have partnered to deploy a 50 MW hybrid solar-wind project in Rajasthan. Incorporating a 2 MWh battery energy storage system, the initiative provides round-the-clock renewable energy to five textile facilities via a group captive model, streamlining the manufacturer's transition toward sustainable energy.

Sangam India Ltd has entered into a strategic agreement with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd to procure hybrid renewable power for its operations in Rajasthan. According to official disclosures, the project situated at the Bhikamkor hybrid farm integrates 30 MWp of solar capacity with 20 MW of wind power and a 2 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

This infrastructure is designed to provide firm, continuous electricity to five of Sangam’s production facilities through an intra-state group captive arrangement. Sangam India is a prominent manufacturer of synthetic blended yarns and textiles, while CleanMax specializes in providing renewable energy solutions for the commercial and industrial sectors.

This development underscores the accelerating trend of industrial players utilizing energy storage to overcome the intermittency of solar and wind power. By securing a reliable, round-the-clock renewable supply, energy-intensive businesses in the textile sector can significantly mitigate carbon emissions while shielding themselves from the price fluctuations of the traditional grid.

The adoption of the group captive model further illustrates a shift in regional policy dynamics, allowing corporations to invest in large-scale off-site projects to meet internal sustainability targets. For market participants, this project serves as a template for combining diverse renewable sources with storage to achieve grid parity and operational resilience. The success of such hybrid deployments in Rajasthan is likely to encourage similar investments across India’s industrial corridors as companies face increasing regulatory and investor pressure to decarbonize.
