A joint venture between China Fangda Group and Saudi-based Isam Kabbani & Partners has secured a $306 million contract to install curtain-wall facades for the landmark Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya.

CHINA; SAUDI ARABIA —Commercial momentum surrounding Saudi Arabia's sports infrastructure pipeline has accelerated as main contractors Uptown Stadium Construction JV awarded a SR1.15 billion ($306 million) facade contract to IKK Fangda JV Co. The scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, and installation of specialized curtain-wall systems for the main arena, an integrated museum, and surrounding infrastructure at the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya. Operations are scheduled to be executed over an 863-day timeframe.

This venue forms a critical anchor in the Kingdom's national bid strategy to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, which foresees 15 planned or refurbished stadiums across five host cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, and Neom. Designed to seat over 45,000 spectators against the backdrop of the Tuwaiq cliffs, the stadium requires complex architectural engineering capable of enduring severe environmental conditions, such as high-altitude winds, sandstorms, and extreme temperature variation.

The assignment represents a significant commercial milestone for international and domestic engineering enterprises capitalizing on Vision 2030 megaprojects. For foreign participants, particularly Chinese industrial entities expanding across Middle Eastern markets, securing major structural packages provides significant revenue visibility, with this contract accounting for more than 60 percent of China Fangda Group's audited annual turnover from the previous fiscal year. The project follows adjacent high-value awards, including an SR829 million mechanical, electrical, and plumbing package issued in September 2026, underlining continuous capital allocation toward strategic development goals.

From an institutional perspective, the project underscores Saudi Arabia's policy determination to maintain public capital expenditures on giga-projects despite macroeconomic adjustments and regional uncertainty. By executing multi-national joint ventures combining global specialized expertise with localized subcontracting capacity, the Saudi construction landscape continues to offer strategic market entry paths for major international facade contractors, building engineering providers, and structural supply chain vendors.

China Fangda Group is a publicly traded conglomerate specializing in building curtain walls, modern materials, and architectural engineering products. Isam Kabbani & Partners, an operating unit of the IKK Group, is a Saudi Arabia-based engineering and construction firm specializing in specialized building solutions and industrial contracting.
