Knowledge Economic City (KEC) and Kaden Investment have entered into a agreement to co-develop Multaqa Al Madinah 2, a multi-use real estate venture in Madinah designed to expand residential and commercial footprint.

SAUDI ARABIA A strategic partnership in Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector is set to advance urban expansion in Madinah through a new multi-use development project. Knowledge Economic City Company (KEC) and Kaden Investment Company have established a framework to collaborate on Multaqa Al Madinah 2, an extension of an existing master-planned district located near key transportation corridors and commercial hubs.

The project spans approximately 92,000 square meters of land and involves a planned built-up area of roughly 229,000 square meters. Under the proposed framework, a closed-ended real estate investment fund governed by national financial market authorities will be established to finance and execute the development. Knowledge Economic City Company (KEC) will hold a 75 percent equity stake through an in-kind land contribution, while Kaden Investment Company will secure a 25 percent stake via cash investment while serving as the development manager.

Designed to integrate residential, office, and retail segments, the development includes over 1,500 residential units intended for off-plan and post-construction sales. Additionally, the project incorporates over 31,000 square meters of net leasable area for commercial and corporate use, complemented by recreational infrastructure, parking, and public green space. A 90-day exclusivity arrangement allows both entities to finalize commercial terms, due diligence, and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge Economic City Company (KEC) is a publicly listed Saudi real estate development firm focused on creating integrated urban destinations and economic infrastructure in Madinah. Kaden Investment Company is a prominent Saudi property developer specializing in commercial real estate, asset management, and mixed-use urban projects.

This initiative aligns with broader regional economic strategies aiming to boost housing inventory, modern commercial infrastructure, and private sector participation in urban developments. By leveraging specialized fund structures, institutional investors and real estate developers are increasingly pooling resources to build scalable urban hubs, driving growth across construction, retail, and corporate service industries within Madinah.
