Sentar has secured a seat on a $278 million multiple-award IDIQ contract with Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific. The defense cyber firm will compete for task orders spanning systems engineering, software design, operational test evaluation, and requirements analysis through August 2031.

Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific has selected Sentar as a prime contractor on a multi-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement valued at $278 million to deliver advanced engineering and technical support. Under the award, the defense software and cybersecurity provider gains the opportunity to bid on specific task orders encompassing operational exercise architecture, technology feasibility demonstrations, requirements validation, and end-to-end software and hardware implementation.

Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, Sentar specializes in cybersecurity, intelligence, and systems engineering solutions designed to protect critical infrastructure and defense assets across multi-domain military environments.

The procurement framework features a five-year baseline ordering duration running from August 2026 through August 2031. Should the Department of the Navy exercise a two-year extension option, the cumulative programmatic ceiling across all contract awardees will expand to $400 million. Primary operational activities under task orders issued via this vehicle are scheduled to take place in San Diego, California.

This contracting vehicle reinforces the strategic imperative of modernizing naval C4ISR architecture, command systems, and tactical networks against escalating cyber threats. By establishing a pre-qualified pool of specialized defense contractors, the U.S. Navy streamlines its procurement lifecycle for mission-critical software development, systems integration, and technical evaluation without requiring standalone vendor solicitations for every emerging technical requirement.

For defense intelligence contractors, securing a prime position on major naval IDIQ frameworks ensures stable long-term access to high-value defense task orders. The structure positions mid-tier technology providers to capture recurring revenues in systems integration and tactical cyber support, while offering military decision-makers rapid access to agile commercial engineering capabilities.
