SIA Engineering Company has completed the acquisition of a 30% equity stake in Arport Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering (Fujian) Co., Ltd. The strategic transaction establishes a joint venture with Xiamen Iport Group to capture growing commercial aviation maintenance demand across East China.

SINGAPORE Singapore-based SIA Engineering Company has finalized its 30 percent equity investment in Arport Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering (Fujian) Co., Ltd., turning the Chinese entity into an official associated enterprise. The transaction, executed alongside subsidiary SIAEC Global Private Limited, joins existing shareholders Arport (Xiamen) International Airport Co., Ltd. and Arport (Fuzhou) International Airport Co., Ltd., which hold 38.5 percent and 31.5 percent stakes, respectively.

SIA Engineering Company is a major Asia-Pacific provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, delivering line maintenance across more than 30 airports in nine countries while holding approvals from 27 national aviation regulatory authorities. Partner entity Xiamen Iport Group operates state-owned airport infrastructure, logistics, and port developments across Fujian province. Through Arport AME, the partnership provides line maintenance and ground handling services at Xiamen, Fuzhou, Wuyishan, and Longyan airports.

The strategic completion secures SIAEC's direct footprint in mainland China's rapidly expanding commercial aviation market. By partnering with a regional airport operator, the company positions itself to capture expanding maintenance demand from domestic and international carriers operating within East China without incurring short-term material impacts on net tangible assets or earnings per share.

This deal underscores ongoing regional consolidation and cross-border partnerships across the aerospace services sector. Beyond existing line maintenance services, the joint venture plans to expand operational capabilities by delivering base maintenance services at the upcoming Xiamen Xiang'an airport, establishing a long-term footprint for heavy airframe support in the region.
