Sical Logistics Limited has secured an INR 392.29 million contract from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). The domestic project entails excavation and transportation of iron ore and subgrade ore at Dalli Mechanised Mine from October 2026 to November 2028.

INDIA —Sical Logistics Limited has secured a major mining contract valued at INR 392.29 million from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for operations at the Dalli Mechanised Mine in Chhattisgarh, India. Under the terms of the agreement, Sical Logistics will execute the excavation and transportation of iron ore, industrial chemical waste, and subgrade ore from Phase 6 of the facility. The domestic contract spans a period from October 5, 2026, to November 18, 2028, expanding the company's operational footprint in bulk material handling and mining support services.

This award marks a significant operational milestone for Sical Logistics, reinforcing its ongoing partnership with state-backed industrial giants and solidifying its position in the domestic logistics and bulk handling ecosystem. For SAIL, engaging an experienced logistics partner ensures a streamlined supply chain and continuous feed of raw materials essential for its integrated steel manufacturing processes. The execution of Phase 6 at the Dalli mine will optimize resource utilization and maintain uninterrupted output from one of SAIL’s critical iron ore hubs.

The development highlights a broader trend within the Indian mining and metals industry, where public sector undertakings increasingly outsource specialized excavation and transport logistics to enhance operational efficiency. By leveraging private sector expertise for complex material movement, state-owned enterprises continue to improve supply chain resilience amid growing national demand for infrastructure and steel production.

Such strategic partnerships align with broader government initiatives aimed at modernizing mineral extraction and boosting industrial productivity.

For investors and industry stakeholders, the project provides Sical Logistics with multi-year revenue visibility, strengthening its service portfolio within the core infrastructure and mining logistics sector. The award reflects sustained operational demand for integrated mining services and underscores the company's competitive standing in securing large-scale government contracts. Sical Logistics, a Pristine Group company, specializes in integrated logistics, port handling, and supply chain solutions across India. Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is one of the largest state-owned steelmakers in India, operating major integrated steel plants and captive iron ore mines nationwide.
