South Korean heavy industry manufacturer Doosan Enerbility has finalized an agreement to supply core structural components for TerraPower's first commercial small modular reactor plant in Wyoming, advancing global commercialization of next-generation nuclear technology.

South Korean engineering firm Doosan Enerbility has entered into a supply contract to manufacture vital structural components for TerraPower’s commercial small modular reactor power plant located in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Under the multi-year deal, Doosan Enerbility will fabricate and deliver the facility's containment vessel, internal reactor structures, and main support framework. The Wyoming facility, which represents a $4 billion investment and officially broke ground in April, features a 345-megawatt sodium-cooled fast reactor paired with an integrated energy storage system capable of boosting output to 500 megawatts during high demand.

Doosan Enerbility is a South Korean heavy industrial company specializing in power generation equipment, nuclear reactor fabrication, and large-scale industrial machinery. TerraPower is a US-based nuclear innovation company focused on developing advanced fourth-generation reactor designs and medical isotope technologies.

This partnership signals a critical milestone in bringing fourth-generation nuclear designs to commercial execution within North America. By replacing traditional high-pressure water cooling mechanisms with low-pressure liquid sodium, the Natrium design introduces a novel operational framework for base-load clean energy.
