South West Pinnacle Exploration secures INR 1.66 billion CBM contract extension from Reliance Industries

South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited has secured a contract extension worth INR 1.66 billion from Reliance Industries to provide Coal Bed Methane production services in Madhya Pradesh.

According to official disclosures, Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has renewed its operational agreement with South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited (SWPE) for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) extraction in Madhya Pradesh. The domestic contract is valued at approximately INR 1.66 billion, and covers a preliminary operational window of 15 months, with a provision for a six-month extension.

South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited operates as a specialized provider of drilling, exploration, and allied services for the mineral and unconventional energy sectors. Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector conglomerate with major interests in petrochemicals, refining, and energy exploration.

This renewal reflects a sustained corporate commitment to maximizing unconventional gas reserves in central India. CBM extraction is increasingly critical for diversifying India's domestic energy mix and reducing reliance on imported liquefied natural gas.
