Spain-based Submer has announced a USD 2 billion investment in Madhya Pradesh to strengthen semiconductor and AI infrastructure, with plans expected to generate nearly 5,000 direct jobs.

Submer Group has announced plans to invest USD 2 billion in Madhya Pradesh's semiconductor sector during the MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0, according to an official statement from the state government. The investment is expected to create around 5,000 direct employment opportunities and marks another step in the company's long-term expansion strategy for India. As part of the development, the state government issued a land allotment for the company's proposed data centre project in the Acharpura industrial area and exchanged project-related documents during the event.

The investment highlights Madhya Pradesh's efforts to position itself as a destination for semiconductor manufacturing.

Submer previously outlined plans to establish manufacturing operations in India for advanced liquid cooling systems used in data centres, targeting both domestic demand and exports across Asia. The company also intends to collaborate with industry partners and skill development agencies to support workforce development for emerging digital infrastructure technologies.

Founded in Spain, Submer develops liquid cooling technologies for high-density data centres and AI computing infrastructure. The company focuses on improving energy efficiency and reducing resource consumption for large-scale digital facilities while expanding its presence in global technology markets.
