Sunsure to power JAKSON facilities with solar under long-term PPA in Uttar Pradesh

Sunsure Energy has signed a power purchase agreement with JAKSON Engineering to supply 7.28 million units of solar power annually to the company's Noida operations. The 4.7 MWp deal will offset up to 80% of conventional power use at JAKSON's corporate office and 40% at its manufacturing facility.

Sunsure Energy has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with JAKSON Engineering to supply solar power to the company's corporate office in Noida and manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, according to an official announcement. The 4.7 MWp arrangement will deliver 7.28 million units annually, offsetting approximately 80% of conventional energy consumption at the corporate office and up to 40% at the manufacturing facility. Sunsure Energy is a renewable energy solutions provider serving commercial and industrial customers across India. JAKSON Engineering operates within the JAKSON Group, an energy and infrastructure conglomerate involved in solar module and cell manufacturing.

The solar transition is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 5.2 million kilograms annually, equivalent to planting over 230,000 trees. The agreement aligns with Sunsure's "UP Shakti" initiative focused on decarbonising Uttar Pradesh's industrial sector. This development matters for India's corporate renewable procurement market, where commercial and industrial customers increasingly adopt captive and group captive solar arrangements to manage energy costs and meet sustainability targets. The agreement reflects growing integration of clean energy into manufacturing operations beyond traditional industrial sectors.
