INDIA —Suzlon has secured a 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power for a project at Limbawas in Madhya Pradesh. The award represents Suzlon’s third DevCo-led wind order across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh and expands its role in the development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy assets.
The project will use 64 S144 wind turbines, each rated at 3.15 MW. Suzlon will undertake the development under an end-to-end EPC scope, covering turbine supply, land acquisition, balance of plant, pooling substation, extra high voltage transmission infrastructure, commissioning and operations and maintenance services.
Electricity generated by the project will be connected to the Madhya Pradesh state grid through MPPCL. The project therefore adds new wind generation capacity to the state’s power system while creating requirements for associated electrical and grid infrastructure, construction activities and long-term asset maintenance.
The order is also significant for Suzlon’s S144 platform, which has now surpassed the 10 GW milestone. Continued deployment of the platform across Indian wind projects indicates sustained demand for turbines in the 3.x MW segment, particularly as developers seek to scale generation capacity through larger turbine configurations.
For Madhya Pradesh, the development supports further expansion of wind generation and associated renewable infrastructure. For the wider renewable energy supply chain, the EPC structure brings multiple activities under one delivery mandate, spanning turbine manufacturing and installation through grid connection and lifecycle services. This can influence demand for engineering, electrical equipment, construction and operations and maintenance providers linked to wind projects.
