Svanehoj Group consolidates maritime energy monitoring capabilities through Dutch acquisition

Svanehoj Group has acquired Netherlands-based Henri Systems to expand its tank control and gauging technologies for liquefied gas carriers. This second acquisition of 2026 strengthens the company's global aftermarket services and consolidates its position in the maritime energy transition sector.

Svanehoj Group, a global supplier of marine and industrial equipment, has completed its acquisition of Henri Systems, a Netherlands-based manufacturer of tank level gauges and monitoring electronics for liquefied gas carriers. This marks the second corporate acquisition for the group in 2026, following a previous purchase of a regional pump service provider.

The transaction is strategically significant as it integrates complementary liquefied petroleum gas gauging technologies with the acquirer’s existing liquefied natural gas capabilities. By absorbing the target’s established installed base, the group significantly broadens its technological portfolio for both pressurized land-based and marine installations.

This consolidation directly impacts the global maritime aftermarket and cargo measurement sectors. As international shipping increasingly adopts gas-powered vessels to comply with environmental regulations, the demand for specialized safety systems and precise tank monitoring is accelerating. The integration ensures a more unified supply chain for vessel operators requiring original spare parts and lifecycle maintenance.

For investors and industry stakeholders, this move highlights a broader trend of equipment manufacturers merging product development with global service networks. The acquired entity will continue operating from its Zwijndrecht facility under the parent's tank control division. This integrated approach is expected to enhance cross-selling opportunities and capture a larger share of the high-margin aftermarket services market.
