AddLife AB has completed the acquisition of Unicam Sistemas Analíticos Lda, a Portuguese distributor of laboratory instrumentation, for its Labtech division, enhancing its presence in Western Europe's analytical testing market.

PORTUGAL; SWEDEN AddLife AB has expanded its European life sciences reach by acquiring Unicam Sistemas Analíticos Lda, a Portugal-based distributor specializing in advanced analytical laboratory equipment. The acquired entity, which generates annual revenue of approximately EUR 10 million and employs 20 professionals, will be integrated into the parent company's Labtech business unit while maintaining its existing brand identity and operational autonomy under a decentralized framework.

This transaction significantly enhances the buyer's distribution footprint across the Iberian peninsula, allowing it to capitalize on long-standing relationships with universities, research institutions, and industrial customers. By integrating an established supplier of chromatography, spectrometry, and microwave technology systems, the group strengthens its overall market positioning while adding stable revenue streams derived from continuous sales of consumables, technical support, and instrument maintenance services.

The expansion reflects a broader trend of consolidation within the European laboratory distribution sector, where regional specialists are increasingly absorbed by larger pan-European groups seeking broader scale and cross-selling opportunities. The integration of specialized product lines is anticipated to deliver incremental earnings growth for the acquiring entity during the current financial period, benefiting stakeholders focused on analytical instrumentation and research infrastructure.

AddLife AB is a publicly traded European life sciences company that distributes specialized equipment, consumables, and services across private and public sectors. The group maintains an operational network of approximately 85 subsidiaries and employs around 2,300 people across the region.
