SGS has secured a controlling stake in US cybersecurity consultancy Prescient Security. The transaction enhances SGS's digital compliance portfolio across regulated industries and advances its target of generating CHF 200 million in additional Digital Trust revenue by 2027.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA —Swiss testing and certification provider SGS has acquired a majority stake in US-based information security specialist Prescient Security. The transaction expands SGS's capabilities in automated compliance management, risk assessment, and technical vulnerability evaluations across North America and global markets.

Prescient Security delivers enterprise digital governance, financial data integrity, and cybersecurity auditing services to over 5,000 corporate clients across defense, technology, healthcare, finance, and retail sectors. The company employs more than 350 specialists and provides technical assessments alongside proprietary compliance automation platforms designed to streamline standard certifications. Headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, SGS operates a global network of over 2,500 facilities across 115 countries, employing more than 100,000 professionals across testing, inspection, and certification disciplines.

This deal significantly bolsters third-party assurance infrastructure for enterprises facing tightening regulatory oversight around corporate data protection and infrastructure resilience. Integrating automated compliance workflows with traditional audit practices allows multinational clients to maintain continuous adherence to major international standards such as ISO, SOC2, PCI DSS, and HITRUST, as well as stringent US federal defense mandates including FedRAMP and CMMC.

Strategic expansion into North American cyber compliance aligns directly with SGS's broader initiative to generate CHF 200 million in incremental top-line revenue from its Digital Trust platform by 2027 compared with 2023 levels. By pairing digital compliance automation with established global testing scale, the combined entity positions itself to capture growing market demand for unified risk management, regulatory verification, and secure digital transformation services across key industrial markets.
